Help/FAQ

Here are some of the most common questions, comments and concerns we receive.

What is FinanceCharts.com?

FinanceCharts.com is a free financial research service. You can use it to do research on public companies. It has a focus on current & historical charts and company comparisons.

What kind of data is available?

We provide hundreds of financial metrics on public companies going back decades. Every metric is charted, so it's really easy to see how a metric changes over time. You can also add multiple companies to any chart so you can compare them very easily.

If this service is free how do you make money?

Of course there's no such thing as a free lunch right? We serve ads. We try to do it tastefully ;) We aren't looking to bombard you with a billion ads on every page like some other sites we've seen. But we do have to keep the lights on!

Where does your fundamental data come from?

Our data comes from a number of third party services, who in turn get it direct from the various exchanges and government agencies (SEC, etc.). We don't create any of the financial data ourselves, so if you see an issue, please contact us and let us know what's going on so we can forward it to the proper data partner.
